BDx Data Centers and Anyon Computing Sign MoU to Deploy a Hybrid Quantum Computer in Singapore
The plan puts a hybrid quantum computer in BDx’s SIN1 data center in Paya Lebar, with a regional testbed for government agencies, enterprises and startups.
BDx Data Centers and Anyon Computing have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deploy a hybrid quantum computer at BDx’s SIN1 data center in Paya Lebar, Singapore. BDx announced the MoU on July 10, 2025, and describes the project as Southeast Asia’s first hybrid quantum AI testbed.
Under the MoU, an Anyon quantum computer would be integrated with SIN1’s infrastructure alongside CPUs and GPUs. BDx’s regional testbed is meant to support government agencies, enterprises and startups in AI and quantum innovation.
“A modern computer today is essentially a whole data center,” said Dr. Jie (Roger) Luo, cofounder and CEO of Anyon Computing, in BDx’s announcement. He added that combining quantum processors with CPUs and GPUs opens the way to new quantum algorithms and applications, and lowers the barrier to adoption for enterprises such as Singapore’s financial institutions.
BDx marked the MoU that week with a Quantum Computing Dialogue for guests from Singapore’s digital and innovation ecosystem, including IMDA, the Economic Development Board and Enterprise Singapore. The companies plan to extend the model to Indonesia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
