Anyon Computing at Quantum Algorithms and Optimization in Athens

Anyon Computing was a sponsor of Quantum Algorithms and Optimization in Athens, a workshop held December 15 to 17, 2025, at the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” in Athens, Greece. On December 16, our cofounder and CEO, Dr. Jie (Roger) Luo, gave the talk “From Hardware to Algorithms: Quantum Platforms for Near-Term Scientific and Engineering Impact.” It looked at how near-term quantum algorithms can be co-designed with the characteristics of specific hardware platforms, such as superconducting circuits, trapped ions and neutral atoms, rather than formulated for an idealized, hardware-agnostic model.

The workshop was co-organized by the Athena Research Center, its Archimedes Unit, and NCSR “Demokritos,” with an organizing committee of Georgios Korpas, Antonios Varvitsiotis and Dimitrios Angelakis. Its talks ranged over quantum Hamiltonian descent, quantum optimal control, polynomial optimization, data loading and quantum reinforcement learning.

Thank you to the organizers, the speakers and our fellow sponsors. Event page.

About Anyon Computing

Anyon Computing Inc. (also known as Anyon Technologies) is a quantum computing company that provides superconducting modular quantum supercomputers, which it tightly couples with NVIDIA GPUs via NVQLink for data center deployment at scale. Anyon pioneered deploying NVIDIA NVQLink inside a commercial production data center and is among the first superconducting QPU backends integrated with NVIDIA CUDA-Q. Founded by pioneers from Caltech and UC Berkeley. https://www.anyoncomputing.com/
